The first hike on Corsica was Monte San Petrone, 1767 masl, in the north/east part of the island. It was an easy hike and most of the hike was in the forest. The total distance was 13 km and 831 m ascent. 

It is by far the highest mountain on Corsica, but the view from the summit was supposed to be very good as this is the highest mountain in this area. Unfortunately, there was mist at the top so the view was not as we had hoped.
